Drawer Guides

After the face framing was complete, I opted to install the drawer guides, before putting the top on the dresser - easier to access.

The Blum drawer guides are mounted at the face-frame and in the rear using Blum rear-mounts attached to a bracing board.

Dresser Top

Cassie liked the look of the solid-edged plywood tops on dressers so that design was adopted.  There is a 1" wide piece of Birch which is mitered at each end.  It is joined to the plywood via #20 biscuits and glue - time for the clamps!

A look at the glue-up of the top - plywood with 1" wide solid wood edging

After gluing the top down, it was clamped, then wood blocks were screwed to the sides and then the top.
